Construction Superintendent – Civil (Offshore)

About the role

Wood is recruiting a PMC Offshore Construction Superintendent – Civil to support the ADNOC offshore project in Abu Dhabi. The role will be based at the client office with the possibility of offshore rotation, ensuring safe and compliant civil works.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise offshore civil construction activities including foundations, piling, concrete, and marine works.
• Coordinate daily construction tasks with contractors, marine teams and other disciplines, and approve method statements and work packs.
• Enforce ADNOC HSE policies, conduct toolbox talks and safety inspections, and ensure QA/QC compliance.
• Monitor progress against schedule, report deviations and support planning, sequencing and logistics.
• Act as the PMC focal point between ADNOC, EPC contractor and third parties, managing interfaces and reporting progress.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 15 years of civil construction experience, with at least 5‑7 years offshore in oil & gas.
• Prior experience on PMC/ADNOC projects is strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of offshore civil construction methods, marine works and ADNOC standards.
• Familiarity with international codes such as BS, ASTM, ACI and ISO.
