Consultant Anesthesiologist – Abu Dhabi

About the role

A leading, internationally accredited healthcare provider in Abu Dhabi is expanding its operating theatres and peri‑operative services. The organisation seeks a highly skilled Consultant Anesthesiologist to join a multidisciplinary clinical team delivering care to a diverse, international patient population.

Key responsibilities

• Provide consultant‑level anaesthesia care for elective and emergency surgeries across multiple specialties.
• Conduct pre‑anaesthetic assessments, risk stratification and peri‑operative optimisation for complex patients.
• Deliver general, regional, neuraxial and monitored anaesthesia in line with hospital protocols.
• Manage airway emergencies, postoperative recovery, acute pain and peri‑operative complications.
• Collaborate with surgeons, intensivists, nurses and theatre teams to ensure safe patient flow and high‑quality care.
• Participate in clinical governance, audits, quality‑improvement and patient‑safety initiatives.

Required profile

• Internationally recognised specialist qualification (e.g., American Board of Anesthesiology, UK CCT/FRCA, European Diploma, Royal College of Canada, Australian FANZCA, Arab Board, MD/DNB/FCPS).
• Eligibility for UAE medical licensing and facility credentialing.
• Experience in delivering anaesthesia across a range of procedures including general surgery, orthopaedics, cardiac, obstetric, paediatric and specialist operations.
