Consultant Anesthesiologist

About the role

A leading healthcare facility in the UAE is looking for an experienced Consultant Anesthesiologist to provide expert anesthesia care, ensure patient safety during surgery and manage perioperative pain and critical clinical situations. The position is full-time and on-site.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct pre-anesthesia assessments and evaluate patients' medical history and surgical risks
• Develop individualized anesthesia plans based on patient needs and surgical requirements
• Administer general, regional and local anesthesia as appropriate
• Monitor patients' vital signs and physiological status throughout procedures
• Manage airway complications, hemodynamic instability and anesthesia-related emergencies
• Provide post-anesthesia care and support effective pain management
• Collaborate with surgeons, nurses and other healthcare professionals
• Supervise and guide junior medical staff and contribute to clinical quality improvement
• Maintain accurate medical records and uphold high standards of patient safety

Required profile

• MBBS or equivalent medical degree
• MD/DNB in Anesthesiology or an equivalent recognized postgraduate qualification
• Significant post-specialization experience at Consultant level
• Experience in general anesthesia, regional anesthesia, airway management and perioperative care
• Strong clinical judgment, leadership and communication skills
