Consultant - Aviation Planning

About the role

We are looking for an Airport Planning Consultant to support concept‑level airport planning, functional spatial design and design‑focused project support across major aviation projects in the Middle East. The role will contribute to developing future airport designs, improving efficiency, passenger experience and sustainability.

Key responsibilities

• Support delivery of project workstreams, initially focusing on the Concept of Operations for DWC Phase 2.
• Conduct analytical assessments of airport operations, including traffic profiles, flight schedules, dwell times and operational KPIs.
• Prepare and interpret capacity and Level of Service assessments for terminals, airside, apron, landside and support facilities.
• Develop multi‑scenario demand forecasts for passengers, aircraft, cargo and general aviation.
• Build and run simulation models (CAST, AirTOP, AviPlan or equivalent) to evaluate flow performance and system resilience.
• Document, validate and trace data inputs, modelling assumptions and analysis workflows.
• Provide analytical inputs for airport master‑planning and long‑term strategic studies.
• Assist in defining functional and spatial requirements and evaluating planning options, phasing strategies and performance trade‑offs.
• Support proposal preparation by contributing planning methodologies, scopes, effort estimates and modelling insights.
• Help improve internal planning practice by refining templates and analytical workflows.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years (36 months) of experience in airport planning or related aviation consultancy.
• Proven ability to conduct analytical assessments and develop demand forecasts.
• Experience with simulation modelling and translating results into actionable insights.
• Strong documentation and data‑validation skills.
