Consultant Cardiac Anesthesiologist – Dubai

About the role

We are looking for a highly experienced Consultant Cardiac Anesthesiologist to join our leading healthcare team in Dubai. The role involves delivering specialised anaesthetic care for adult and paediatric cardiac surgeries and complex cardiovascular interventions, ensuring optimal patient outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive anaesthesia services for cardiac, thoracic and major vascular surgeries, including CABG, valve, congenital, transplant and aortic procedures.
• Conduct pre‑anaesthetic assessments, risk evaluation and optimisation of medical conditions.
• Administer general anaesthesia for interventional cardiology and structural heart procedures such as TAVI/TAVR, MitraClip and electrophysiology cases.
• Perform and interpret intra‑operative transesophageal echocardiography (TEE) to guide surgical decisions.
• Manage advanced invasive haemodynamic monitoring (arterial lines, central venous catheters, pulmonary artery catheters, cardiac output monitoring).
• Provide peri‑operative critical care in collaboration with intensivists and cardiac surgeons.
• Respond to cardiac emergencies, including resuscitation and cardiogenic shock.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and mentor junior staff.

Required profile

• Board‑certified anaesthesiologist with at least 8 years of experience in adult and paediatric cardiac anaesthesia.
• Proven expertise in peri‑operative management of complex cardiac cases.
• Strong knowledge of DHA regulations and hospital documentation standards.
• Excellent communication skills for patient and family education.
