Consultant Cardiac Anesthesiologist - Dubai

About the role

We are seeking a highly experienced Consultant Cardiac Anesthesiologist to join our leading healthcare team in Dubai, providing specialized anesthesia care for adult and pediatric cardiac surgeries, interventional cardiology procedures, and complex cardiovascular interventions.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive anesthesia services for cardiac, thoracic, and major vascular surgeries, including CABG, valve, congenital, transplantation, and aortic procedures.
• Conduct pre‑anesthetic evaluations, risk assessment, medical optimization, and anesthesia planning.
• Administer general anesthesia and support for interventional cardiology and structural heart procedures such as TAVI/TAVR, MitraClip, electrophysiology, and cardiac catheterization.
• Perform and interpret intra‑operative Transesophageal Echocardiography (TEE) to guide surgical decisions.
• Manage advanced invasive hemodynamic monitoring, including arterial lines, central venous catheters, pulmonary artery catheters, and cardiac output monitoring.
• Provide peri‑operative critical care in collaboration with intensivists and cardiac surgeons, and respond to cardiac emergencies.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, educate patients and families, and maintain documentation compliant with DHA regulations.
• Participate in clinical audits, research, mentorship of junior staff, and quality improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) and residency in Anesthesiology.
• Fellowship or advanced training in Cardiac Anesthesia.
• Board certification in Anesthesiology and DHA eligibility for consultant licensure in Dubai.
• Minimum 8–10 years post‑specialization experience in cardiac anesthesia, including adult and pediatric cases.
• Experience in tertiary care hospitals with cardiothoracic surgery programs.

Required skills

• Advanced expertise in cardiac anesthesia and peri‑operative cardiovascular management.
• Proficiency in intra‑operative Transesophageal Echocardiography (TEE).
• Strong knowledge of advanced invasive hemodynamic monitoring and cardiac physiology.
• Excellent clinical judgment, crisis management, and multidisciplinary collaboration.
