Consultant Cardiac Anesthesiologist

About the role

We are seeking a highly experienced Consultant Cardiac Anesthesiologist to join our leading healthcare team in Dubai, providing specialized anesthesia care for adult and pediatric cardiac surgeries and complex cardiovascular interventions.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive anesthesia services for cardiac, thoracic, and major vascular surgical procedures.
• Conduct detailed pre‑anesthetic evaluations, risk assessment, and anesthesia planning.
• Administer general anesthesia for CABG, valve surgeries, congenital heart procedures, heart transplantation, and aortic surgeries.
• Support interventional cardiology and structural heart procedures such as TAVI/TAVR, MitraClip, electrophysiology, and cardiac catheterisation.
• Perform and interpret intra‑operative Transesophageal Echocardiography (TEE) for surgical decision‑making.
• Manage advanced invasive haemodynamic monitoring including arterial lines, central venous catheters, pulmonary artery catheters and cardiac output monitoring.
• Provide peri‑operative critical care in collaboration with intensivists and cardiac surgeons.
• Respond to cardiac emergencies, resuscitation, cardiogenic shock and peri‑operative complications.

Required profile

• Medical Degree (MBBS or equivalent) and recognised residency in Anaesthesiology.
• Fellowship or advanced subspecialty training in Cardiac Anaesthesia.
• Board certification in Anaesthesiology and DHA eligibility for consultant licensure in Dubai.
• Minimum 8–10 years post‑specialisation experience in cardiac anaesthesia, adult and paediatric.
• Experience in tertiary care hospitals with established cardiothoracic surgery programmes.

Required skills

• Advanced expertise in cardiac anaesthesia and peri‑operative cardiovascular management.
• Proficiency in intra‑operative Transesophageal Echocardiography (TEE).
• Advanced haemodynamic monitoring (arterial line, central venous catheter, pulmonary artery catheter, cardiac output monitoring).
• Strong clinical judgement and crisis management in cardiac emergencies.
