Consultant Child Psychiatrist - Arabic Speaker

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Consultant Child Psychiatrist who is fluent in Arabic to join a leading healthcare organisation in the UAE. The role involves delivering specialist psychiatric assessment, diagnosis and treatment for children, working closely with families and a multidisciplinary clinical team.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for children with ADHD, autism, anxiety, depression, behavioural and trauma‑related disorders.
• Provide medication management, monitor response and side effects, and adjust treatment as needed.
• Collaborate with paediatricians, psychologists, speech therapists, occupational therapists, social workers and nursing staff in multidisciplinary case discussions.
• Maintain accurate, confidential clinical records and contribute to quality‑improvement initiatives.
• Participate in teaching, supervision and continuing professional development activities.

Required profile

• Medical degree from a recognised institution and postgraduate qualification in Child Psychiatry or Psychiatry.
• Consultant‑level clinical experience in child psychiatry, preferably with a focus on paediatric mental health.
• Eligibility for consultant‑level licensing in the UAE.
• Fluent Arabic speaker – mandatory.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with children and families.
