Consultant Critical Care Physician – UAE (Full‑time)

About the role

A leading internationally accredited healthcare provider in the UAE is expanding its high‑acuity intensive care services and seeks an experienced Consultant Critical Care Physician to join its multidisciplinary team in Sharjah.

Key responsibilities

• Lead management of critically ill medical, surgical, trauma and postoperative patients in the ICU.
• Provide advanced organ support including mechanical ventilation, haemodynamic and renal support, and sepsis management.
• Perform critical care procedures such as airway management, central venous access and invasive monitoring.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary ICU rounds with consultants, nurses, respiratory therapists, pharmacists and allied health professionals.
• Communicate effectively with patients’ families, conduct goals‑of‑care discussions and support ethical decision‑making.
• Contribute to ICU protocols, infection prevention, clinical audits, simulation training and quality improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Strong clinical judgement with commitment to evidence‑based practice and patient safety.
• Excellent communication skills for culturally diverse patients and multidisciplinary teams.
• Ability to adapt to UAE healthcare regulations, documentation standards and hospital governance.
