Consultant Critical Care Physician – UAE

About the role
A leading internationally accredited healthcare provider in the UAE is expanding its high‑acuity intensive care services. The position offers an experienced, internationally trained critical care physician the chance to work in a modern, quality‑driven environment serving a diverse patient population.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the management of critically ill medical, surgical, trauma and postoperative patients in the intensive care unit.
- Provide advanced organ support, including mechanical ventilation, haemodynamic management, renal support coordination and sepsis management.
- Perform critical care procedures such as airway management, central venous access and invasive monitoring.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary ICU rounds with consultants, nurses, respiratory therapists, pharmacists and allied health professionals.
- Communicate effectively with patients' families, including goals‑of‑care discussions and ethical decision‑making.
- Contribute to ICU protocols, infection prevention, clinical audits, simulation training and quality‑improvement initiatives.
Required profile
- Internationally trained Consultant Critical Care Physician with recognised board certification (e.g., American Board, UK CCT, European Diploma, Royal College, Canadian, Australian, Arab Board or equivalent).
- Eligibility for UAE medical licensing and credentialing.
- Strong clinical judgement, commitment to evidence‑based practice and patient safety.
- Excellent communication skills with culturally diverse patients and multidisciplinary teams.
- Willingness to adapt to UAE healthcare regulations and documentation standards.
