Consultant Emergency Medicine

About the role

A full-time, on-site Consultant Emergency Medicine position based in Dubai. The consultant provides advanced emergency care, including assessment, diagnosis and management of acute and life-threatening conditions for patients of all ages.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise emergency department teams and coordinate with other specialists
• Ensure adherence to clinical protocols and participate in multidisciplinary case discussions
• Oversee triage processes and guide junior doctors and nursing staff
• Maintain high standards of patient safety and quality of care
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, clinical audits and training activities within the emergency department

Required profile

• Strong clinical expertise in Emergency Medicine, with board certification or an equivalent specialist qualification
• Experience in cardiology-related emergencies, including assessment and stabilization of cardiac patients
• Valid medical license or eligibility for licensing in the United Arab Emirates
• Ability to work in a high-pressure environment with strong decision-making and problem-solving skills

Required skills

• Comprehensive knowledge of general medicine and ability to manage complex acute presentations
• Experience working with physicians and multidisciplinary teams
• Experience training and mentoring junior clinicians and other healthcare professionals
• Evidence-based practice, commitment to continuous professional development and ethical clinical standards
