Consultant Emergency Medicine Physician

About the role

We are seeking a highly qualified Consultant Emergency Medicine Physician to join a leading healthcare facility in the UAE. This role offers an attractive salary package, excellent career prospects and a supportive, internationally diverse environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, treatment and management of patients in the Emergency Department.
• Lead acute medical, surgical, traumatic and life‑threatening emergencies, including rapid resuscitation and stabilization.
• Perform advanced emergency procedures such as endotracheal intubation, advanced airway management, vascular access and procedural sedation.
• Lead ACLS, trauma resuscitation and emergency response teams, and coordinate consultations, referrals and admissions.
• Supervise and mentor junior physicians, residents and multidisciplinary teams.

Required profile

• MBBS/MD or equivalent recognized medical degree with postgraduate qualification in Emergency Medicine.
• Board certification or equivalent consultant‑level qualification (American Board, UK CCT, Canadian, Australian, European, etc.).
• Minimum 5‑10 years post‑specialisation experience in a high‑volume ED or tertiary hospital.
• Eligible for DHA, DOH or MOHAP consultant licence.
• Strong clinical judgement, leadership and communication skills.

Required skills

• Advanced airway management and endotracheal intubation.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), ATLS and PALS.
• Interpretation of ECG, X‑ray, CT, laboratory results and point‑of‑care ultrasound.
• Trauma resuscitation and critical care stabilization.
• Procedural sedation and vascular access techniques.
