Consultant Gastroenterologist (Arabic Speaker)

About the role

We are looking for a highly qualified Consultant Gastroenterologist fluent in Arabic to join a reputable healthcare facility in Al Ain. The role involves diagnosing and managing a broad spectrum of gastrointestinal, liver, pancreatic and digestive disorders while delivering patient‑centered care that meets international clinical standards.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat conditions such as GERD, IBS, IBD, liver diseases, pancreatitis and gastrointestinal bleeding.
• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures, including upper GI endoscopy and colonoscopy.
• Manage inpatient and outpatient gastroenterology cases and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Collaborate with surgeons, radiologists, dietitians, oncologists and multidisciplinary teams.
• Provide culturally sensitive communication to Arabic‑speaking patients and families.
• Maintain accurate records, ensure compliance with DOH regulations and hospital policies.
• Participate in clinical audits, quality‑improvement programs, CME activities and departmental meetings.
• Educate patients on digestive health, preventive care, diet and lifestyle modifications.

Required profile

• MBBS or equivalent medical degree recognized by DOH Abu Dhabi.
• Board certification or fellowship in Gastroenterology.
• Valid DOH Consultant License or eligibility letter in Gastroenterology.
• Minimum 5–7 years post‑board consultant experience in a reputable hospital.
• Fluency in Arabic (mandatory) and English (preferred).
