Consultant Intensive Care Medicine (ICU)

About the role

A leading private healthcare facility in the UAE is seeking an experienced Consultant in Intensive Care Medicine to join its ICU team. The role involves delivering high‑quality care to critically ill patients and collaborating with multidisciplinary specialists.

Key responsibilities

• Provide expert medical care to complex ICU patients, including those on mechanical ventilation and hemodynamic support.
• Diagnose and manage acute, life‑threatening conditions such as sepsis, respiratory failure, shock, and multi‑organ failure.
• Lead multidisciplinary ICU rounds and coordinate patient management with other specialists.
• Perform and supervise critical‑care procedures and advanced monitoring techniques.
• Participate in emergency response, resuscitation, and mentorship of junior doctors and ICU staff.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation in line with UAE healthcare standards.

Required profile

• Medical degree (MBBS/MD or equivalent) with a recognized postgraduate qualification in Intensive Care, Critical Care, Anesthesia, or Internal Medicine.
• Consultant‑level experience in Intensive Care Medicine, preferably 3–5 years post‑specialization.
• Eligibility for DHA, DOH, or MOHAP licensing in the UAE.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and evidence‑based practice orientation.
