Consultant Interventional Cardiologist (American Board Certified)

About the role

A leading healthcare facility in Dubai is seeking a highly qualified Consultant Interventional Cardiologist with American Board Certification. The role centres on invasive cardiology procedures, coronary interventions and the management of complex cardiovascular conditions.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage complex cardiovascular diseases, including coronary artery disease and acute coronary syndromes.
• Perform coronary angiography, angioplasty and percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI).
• Manage patients before, during and after interventional cardiac procedures.
• Provide emergency cardiac care and take part in on-call services.
• Interpret ECGs, echocardiograms and other cardiac investigations.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and maintain accurate medical records in line with clinical guidelines and patient-safety standards.
• Take part in clinical audits, quality improvement and continuing medical education.

Required profile

• MBBS, MD or equivalent medical degree from a recognised institution.
• American Board Certification in Cardiovascular Disease/Cardiology.
• Fellowship or recognised subspecialty training in Interventional Cardiology.
• At least 5 years of post-specialization experience, preferably in a tertiary-care or high-volume cardiac centre.
• Proven expertise in coronary angiography, angioplasty, PCI and complex coronary interventions.
• Valid DHA licence or eligibility for Consultant-level licensing in Dubai; experience in a Western healthcare institution is preferred.
