Consultant Maternal & Fetal Medicine

About the role

Stafmed is recruiting an experienced Consultant Maternal & Fetal Medicine Specialist for a full-time position with a leading healthcare facility in Dubai, UAE. The consultant manages high-risk pregnancies, advanced fetal assessment, prenatal diagnosis and complex maternal-fetal conditions, contributing to evidence-based care in a multidisciplinary clinical environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assess and manage high-risk pregnancies and complex maternal-fetal conditions
• Perform advanced obstetric ultrasound, fetal anomaly scans and fetal growth assessments
• Provide prenatal diagnosis, fetal surveillance and counselling for suspected fetal abnormalities
• Manage multiple pregnancies, fetal growth restriction and other pregnancy-related complications
• Develop individualised care plans based on clinical findings and current guidelines
• Coordinate care with obstetricians, neonatologists, geneticists and other specialists
• Perform fetal medicine procedures within the scope of clinical privileges
• Counsell expectant parents and maintain accurate medical records
• Contribute to clinical audits, quality improvement and departmental development

Required profile

• Postgraduate qualification in Obstetrics and Gynaecology with specialist training or recognised qualifications in Maternal and Fetal Medicine
• Board certification or equivalent specialist qualification (e.g. American Board, UK CCT/CCST, Canadian Royal College) in Obstetrics and Gynaecology
• DHA eligibility under the relevant Maternal and Fetal Medicine professional title
• Proven experience in high-risk obstetrics, fetal medicine and advanced obstetric ultrasound
• Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team
