Consultant Neurosurgeon (Western Qualified)

About the role

A leading university healthcare institution in the UAE is seeking a Western‑qualified Consultant Neurosurgeon to join its Department of Neurosciences. The role involves delivering comprehensive neurosurgical care, teaching, and research within an academic, multidisciplinary environment.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage complex neurological and neurosurgical disorders.
• Perform elective and emergency neurosurgical procedures on the brain, spine, spinal cord and peripheral nerves.
• Provide pre‑operative, intra‑operative and post‑operative patient care.
• Participate in multidisciplinary case discussions and trauma services.
• Supervise residents, fellows and medical students and contribute to curriculum development.
• Engage in clinical research, publications and quality‑improvement initiatives.
• Maintain accurate electronic medical records and ensure compliance with UAE healthcare regulations.

Required profile

• Board‑certified or equivalent neurosurgery qualification from a Western medical system.
• Extensive experience in cranial and spinal surgery, including microsurgical techniques.
• Strong academic background with involvement in teaching and research.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
