Consultant Orthopedic Surgeon – Abu Dhabi, UAE

About the role

A leading internationally accredited healthcare provider in the UAE is expanding its orthopaedic outpatient, trauma and elective surgical services. The role offers internationally trained clinicians strong clinical exposure, multidisciplinary teamwork and the chance to work in a modern, quality‑driven environment serving a diverse patient population.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage musculoskeletal injuries, degenerative disease, fractures and orthopaedic conditions.
• Perform orthopaedic procedures such as arthroscopy, arthroplasty, trauma fixation, and hand/foot surgeries.
• Evaluate surgical candidates, obtain informed consent and oversee peri‑operative care.
• Collaborate with radiology, anaesthesia, physiotherapy, sports medicine and rehabilitation teams.
• Provide outpatient follow‑up, functional recovery plans and manage complications.
• Participate in surgical audit, theatre safety, infection prevention and clinical governance.

Required profile

• Internationally recognised orthopaedic specialist qualification (e.g., American Board, UK CCT/FRCS, European Board, Royal College, Australian FRACS, Arab Board, MS/DNB/FCPS).
• Strong clinical judgement, evidence‑based practice and commitment to patient safety.
• Excellent communication skills with culturally diverse patients and multidisciplinary teams.
• Willingness to adapt to UAE healthcare regulations and documentation standards.
• Interest in long‑term career development within a premium UAE healthcare setting.
