Consultant Paediatric Surgeon – Paediatric Trauma Surgery

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Consultant Paediatric Surgeon with a strong background in paediatric trauma surgery to join a leading healthcare organization in Al Ain. The role involves delivering high‑quality surgical care to infants, children and adolescents, and providing leadership within the surgical department.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat surgical conditions affecting infants, children and adolescents.
• Perform paediatric trauma surgeries and emergency surgical procedures, including management of congenital anomalies and abdominal trauma.
• Ensure appropriate medical coverage within the division and attend multidisciplinary meetings.
• Support departmental initiatives, policies and performance management systems.
• Supervise and mentor junior physicians and surgical staff.
• Participate in reporting and investigation of clinical incidents.

Required profile

• Medical Degree (MBBS or equivalent) with specialization in Paediatric Surgery.
• Fellowship or significant experience in Paediatric Trauma Surgery.
• TIER 1 qualification (American Board, Canadian Board, UK CCT or equivalent) as per DOH PQR.
• Minimum five years of post‑specialization experience.
• Valid DOH license or eligibility.
