Consultant Pediatric Cardiac Intensivist (Dubai)

About the role

We are a leading tertiary‑care hospital in Dubai seeking a Consultant Pediatric Cardiac Intensivist to lead our Pediatric Cardiac ICU. The successful candidate will provide expert critical‑care management for neonates, infants and children with congenital and acquired heart disease, including pre‑ and post‑operative, interventional and emergency cases.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive critical‑care for pediatric cardiac patients: pre‑operative stabilization, post‑operative management, interventional cardiology support and emergency care.
• Operate ECMO, mechanical ventilation, advanced hemodynamic monitoring and interpret echocardiography, hemodynamic studies and advanced imaging.
• Lead daily PCICU rounds, coordinate multidisciplinary care plans and provide on‑call coverage for cardiac emergencies.
• Develop clinical pathways, protocols and quality‑improvement initiatives for the PCICU service.
• Mentor junior physicians, fellows and nursing staff, and engage families with clear, compassionate communication.
• Participate in clinical research, audits, teaching activities and represent the department at conferences.

Required profile

• Medical degree (MD/MBBS) from a recognized institution.
• Board certification in Pediatric Critical Care, Pediatric Cardiology or Pediatric Anesthesiology with fellowship training in Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care.
• 8–10 years of post‑specialisation experience in a high‑volume cardiac centre, including consultant‑level practice.
• Eligibility for Dubai Health Authority Consultant licensure.
• Fluent English; Arabic is an advantage.
