Consultant Pediatric Hematologist/Oncologist in Abu Dhabi

About the role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Consultant Pediatric Hematologist/Oncologist to join a leading healthcare organization in Abu Dhabi. The role involves diagnosing, treating and managing children and adolescents with hematologic disorders and pediatric cancers, delivering family‑centered care throughout the patient journey.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage a broad range of pediatric hematologic and oncologic conditions, including leukemia, lymphoma, solid tumours, anemia and clotting disorders.
• Develop individualized treatment plans and oversee chemotherapy, immunotherapy, transfusion therapy and supportive care.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary care with pediatricians, surgeons, radiologists, pathologists, pharmacists, nurses and allied health professionals.
• Monitor patient progress, treatment response and complications, adjusting management plans as required.
• Provide counseling, education and emotional support to patients and families.
• Participate in tumor boards, clinical audits, quality‑improvement initiatives and maintain accurate medical records in line with DOH regulations.

Required profile

• Medical degree (MBBS/MD) with specialty training in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology.
• Recognised qualification (UK CCT, US or Canadian Board Certification) and a valid DOH Abu Dhabi licence.
• Minimum 5 years post‑board experience in pediatric hematology/oncology.
• Fluency in English; Arabic is an advantage.
• Strong communication, leadership and a compassionate approach to paediatric patients.
