Consultant Pediatric Rheumatologist

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Consultant Pediatric Rheumatologist to join a leading healthcare facility in Dubai. The role involves delivering comprehensive, evidence‑based care to infants, children, and adolescents with rheumatologic, autoimmune, and inflammatory disorders.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage pediatric rheumatologic conditions such as juvenile idiopathic arthritis, systemic lupus erythematosus, vasculitis, and inflammatory myopathies.
• Conduct thorough clinical assessments and create individualized treatment plans.
• Initiate and monitor conventional and biologic therapies following clinical guidelines.
• Interpret laboratory investigations and imaging studies to support diagnosis and treatment decisions.
• Monitor disease progression, medication safety, and long‑term outcomes.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including pediatricians, orthopedic surgeons, immunologists, nephrologists, and ophthalmologists.
• Provide counseling and education to families regarding disease management.
• Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with UAE healthcare regulations.

Required profile

• Medical degree (MBBS, MD or equivalent) from a recognized institution.
• Postgraduate qualification in Pediatrics and/or Pediatric Rheumatology meeting UAE licensing requirements.
• Eligibility for a valid DHA Consultant license in the relevant specialty.
• Proven experience managing pediatric rheumatologic, autoimmune, and inflammatory conditions.
• Strong clinical, diagnostic, and patient‑management abilities.
• Excellent communication skills for interaction with children, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
