Consultant Psychiatrist – Multidisciplinary Mental Health (UAE)

About the role

A leading internationally accredited healthcare provider in the UAE is expanding its mental health services. The organization seeks a highly skilled Consultant Psychiatrist to join a multidisciplinary clinical team delivering patient‑centred care to a diverse international population.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments, including history taking, mental status examination and risk evaluation.
• Diagnose and manage a wide spectrum of psychiatric conditions across outpatient and inpatient settings.
• Develop individualized treatment plans that integrate pharmacological therapy with appropriate psychological or behavioural interventions.
• Monitor treatment response, medication effectiveness and adverse effects, adjusting plans as needed.
• Provide acute psychiatric care, including risk assessment and emergency intervention.
• Collaborate with psychologists, therapists, social workers, primary care physicians and other specialists to ensure integrated patient care.
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatment options, recovery pathways and relapse prevention.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and adhere to confidentiality, safety and governance standards.

Required profile

• Internationally trained psychiatrist with recognized qualifications (e.g., American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, UK CCT or MRCPsych).
• Demonstrated experience in multidisciplinary mental health environments.
• Commitment to high clinical standards and compassionate patient care.
