Consultant Psychiatrist – UAE (Full‑time)

About the role

The leading multispecialty healthcare network in the United Arab Emirates is expanding its mental health services and seeks an experienced Consultant Psychiatrist. This full‑time position offers the chance to work in a modern, quality‑driven environment with a diverse international patient base.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose and manage a wide spectrum of psychiatric, psychological and behavioural health conditions.
• Provide consultant‑level care for depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, psychosis, schizophrenia, PTSD, OCD and related disorders.
• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric and risk assessments, mental status examinations and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Prescribe and monitor pharmacotherapy, coordinate psychotherapy referrals and other evidence‑based interventions.
• Manage acute psychiatric presentations, crisis situations and arrange appropriate referrals or higher levels of care.
• Collaborate with psychologists, counsellors, neurologists, primary care physicians and other specialists to ensure integrated care.
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatment options, medication safety and relapse prevention.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation, uphold confidentiality and participate in multidisciplinary meetings, audits and service development.

Required profile

• Internationally trained Consultant Psychiatrist or Psychiatry Specialist with recognized qualification (e.g., American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, UK CCT/MRCPsych, European Board, Royal College of Canada, Australian FRANZCP, Arab Board, MD/DNB/FCPS or equivalent).
• Eligibility to practice in the UAE and commitment to international healthcare standards.
• Experience delivering patient‑centred psychiatric care in a multidisciplinary setting.
