Consultant Psychiatrist - UAE

About the role

A leading, internationally accredited healthcare provider in the UAE is expanding its mental health services and seeks a Consultant Psychiatrist to join a multidisciplinary clinical team. Key responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose and manage a wide range of psychiatric conditions in outpatient and inpatient settings.
• Develop individualized treatment plans that incorporate pharmacotherapy, psychotherapy referrals and psychosocial interventions.
• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric, risk and mental state examinations and provide ongoing clinical reviews.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary care with psychologists, counsellors, neurologists and primary care physicians.
• Provide crisis assessment and management for acute psychiatric presentations and ensure patient safety.

Required profile

• Internationally trained Consultant Psychiatrist with recognized specialist qualification (e.g., ABPN, UK CCT/MRCPsych, FRANZCP, Arab Board, etc.).
• Strong clinical judgement, commitment to evidence‑based practice and patient safety.
• Excellent communication skills for culturally diverse patients and multidisciplinary teams.
• Willingness to adapt to UAE healthcare regulations, documentation standards and hospital governance.
