Consultant Radiologist

About the role

The Consultant Radiologist provides expert diagnostic imaging interpretation and image‑guided procedures to support accurate diagnosis, treatment planning, and patient management in a UAE healthcare facility.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret and report X‑ray, ultrasound, CT, MRI, mammography and other imaging examinations, delivering timely, clinically relevant reports.
• Perform and supervise image‑guided diagnostic and interventional procedures within the approved scope of practice.
• Collaborate with referring physicians, surgeons, oncologists and emergency doctors to discuss findings and recommend further investigations.
• Identify and promptly communicate critical or unexpected imaging findings.
• Ensure appropriate imaging selection, radiation protection, and patient safety, including contrast administration protocols.
• Supervise radiology residents and trainees, and participate in audits, quality improvement and multidisciplinary meetings.

Required profile

• Recognized medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) and postgraduate qualification in Radiology.
• Relevant post‑qualification clinical experience meeting DHA Professional Qualification Requirements.
• Demonstrated expertise in interpreting a broad range of diagnostic imaging studies.
• Strong clinical judgement, analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.
