Consultant Respiratory Medicine (Pulmonologist)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Consultant in Respiratory Medicine to join our multidisciplinary healthcare team. The role involves diagnosing, treating and managing a broad spectrum of acute and chronic respiratory conditions while delivering high‑quality patient care.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage asthma, COPD, pneumonia, tuberculosis, ILD, pulmonary fibrosis, pleural diseases, pulmonary hypertension and lung cancer.
• Perform and interpret pulmonary function tests, spirometry, ABG analysis and imaging studies.
• Conduct bronchoscopic procedures such as flexible bronchoscopy, BAL, transbronchial biopsy and endobronchial interventions.
• Manage patients on NIV, CPAP and BiPAP and address sleep‑related breathing disorders.
• Provide inpatient, outpatient and emergency respiratory consultations.
• Develop individualized treatment plans, monitor progress and collaborate with intensivists, surgeons and other specialists.
• Educate patients on disease prevention, smoking cessation and pulmonary rehabilitation.
• Maintain accurate medical records and participate in quality improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• MD or equivalent with DM/DNB/CCT/Fellowship/Board certification in Respiratory Medicine.
• 3–5 years post‑specialisation experience.
• Current BLS (preferred) and ACLS certification (preferred).
• Experience in bronchoscopy and pulmonary function testing; sleep medicine or interventional pulmonology is an advantage.
