Consultant Rheumatologist – Full-Time in Dubai

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Consultant Rheumatologist to join a leading healthcare facility in Dubai. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in diagnosing and managing autoimmune, inflammatory, musculoskeletal, and rheumatic diseases, with a patient‑centered approach to long‑term care.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive consultation, diagnosis, and management of rheumatological conditions.
• Diagnose and treat rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, gout, ankylosing spondylitis, psoriatic arthritis and other inflammatory arthritides.
• Evaluate and manage systemic autoimmune and connective‑tissue disorders such as lupus, scleroderma, Sjögren’s syndrome and vasculitis.
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on clinical assessment, laboratory investigations and imaging.
• Manage advanced therapies including biologic and targeted treatments where clinically appropriate.
• Monitor disease activity, treatment response, medication safety and potential complications.
• Perform or coordinate joint and soft‑tissue procedures, including injections, within scope of practice.
• Collaborate with orthopedic surgeons, physiotherapists, pain specialists and other multidisciplinary specialists.
• Provide patient education on disease management, medication adherence and lifestyle modification.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and participate in audits, teaching, research and CME activities.

Required profile

• MBBS/MD or equivalent medical degree with recognized postgraduate qualification in Rheumatology or Internal Medicine with Rheumatology specialization.
• Board certification or equivalent specialist/consultant qualification.
• Minimum 5–10 years of post‑specialisation experience in Rheumatology.
• Eligibility for DHA Consultant classification/license in Dubai.
• Excellent clinical, communication and patient‑management skills.
