Consultant Urologist – Full-Time, Dubai

About the role

Astra ProMed is seeking an experienced Consultant Urologist to join its multidisciplinary team in Dubai. The role involves delivering comprehensive diagnostic, medical and surgical care for a wide spectrum of urological conditions, including complex and emergency cases.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct outpatient consultations, examinations and clinical assessments for urological patients.
• Diagnose and manage complex conditions affecting kidneys, ureters, bladder, prostate and male reproductive system.
• Perform endoscopic, laparoscopic and minimally invasive procedures such as cystoscopy, ureteroscopy, lithotripsy and robotic surgery where applicable.
• Provide pre‑operative assessment, intra‑operative care and post‑operative follow‑up.
• Interpret laboratory results and imaging studies (ultrasound, CT, MRI) to guide treatment plans.
• Collaborate with oncology, nephrology, radiology, anesthesia and other specialties.
• Participate in on‑call duties, clinical governance, audits and departmental education.

Required profile

• MBBS or equivalent medical degree and recognized postgraduate qualification in Urology.
• Board certification, CCT/CCST, fellowship or equivalent recognized by UAE health authority.
• Significant consultant‑level experience in urology, including management of complex cases.
• Experience with minimally invasive, endoscopic and laparoscopic techniques; robotic urology experience is advantageous.
• Eligibility for a valid DHA Consultant licence.
