Contracting Sr. Specialist

About the role

The Contracting Sr. Specialist will secure contracts and agreements for services and supplies needed for the Bahri fleet, ensuring compliance with O&M Procurement policies. The role acts as Bahri's commercial representative during vessel drydock projects and oversees the full contract lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Pre‑qualify contractors, evaluate commercial proposals and prepare contract presentations for management decision‑making.
• Lead communication with bidders throughout tender evaluation and negotiation stages.
• Prepare, review and finalize new contracts and amendments, ensuring alignment with procurement policies.
• Manage drydock contracts: pre‑qualify shipyards, attend vessels at shipyards, arrange procurement of materials and services, monitor budgets, issue change orders and negotiate final invoices.
• Ensure contract compliance, liaise with suppliers on non‑standard terms, and protect Bahri’s interests.
• Administer contracts, monitor expiries, resolve issues with contractors, and recommend improvements to terms and conditions.
• Maintain secure and retrievable documentation for all managed contracts.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration or equivalent.
• 6–8 years of relevant contracting or procurement experience.
• Certificate in Professional Contracts Management (CPCM) preferred.
