Contracts and Procurement Officer

About the role

The Contracts and Procurement Officer provides efficient, accurate, and timely contract and purchasing services to internal and external clients of Zayed University, ensuring value for money and compliance with university policies.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review, and maintain commercial and contractual arrangements for business units.
• Review RFI/RFP solicitations, prepare cost proposals, and negotiate contracts and cooperative agreements.
• Monitor financial activity of prime and sub‑contracts, including close‑outs, and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Maintain the contracts database, generate periodic reports, and advise on risk and cost drivers.
• Negotiate and place annual Blanket Purchase Orders, Master Purchasing Agreements, and Service Agreements.
• Purchase goods and services for both campuses, analyze specifications, evaluate vendor quotations, and expedite orders.
• Liaise with vendors to resolve discrepancies, manage order amendments, and ensure timely invoice processing.

Required profile

• Experience in drafting, reviewing, and managing commercial contracts.
• Proven ability to negotiate and administer procurement agreements.
• Familiarity with university or public‑sector procurement policies and financial monitoring.
• Strong analytical skills for cost comparison and vendor evaluation.
