Contracts Engineer

About the role

The Contracts Engineer will support the delivery of a large‑scale oil & gas project in Dubai, overseeing contractual, commercial and legal aspects of multiple packages worth up to USD 500 million. The role ensures consistency, compliance and protection of the company’s interests throughout tendering, contract execution and administration.

Key responsibilities

• Assist technical teams during pre‑qualification and tender phases, preparing tender documents, contractual conditions and pricing.
• Develop and lead technical exhibits, ensure document consistency, and manage contractual clarifications with bidders.
• Prepare final contracts for signature, enter contracts into SAP/UNISUP and maintain validation circuits.
• Administer contracts in SAP/UNISUP, support cost control interfaces, and draft letters, change orders and amendments.
• Report contract team activities to the Project Control Leader and ensure compliance with Total and project contractual procedures.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or law.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in the oil industry, with strong knowledge of upstream contracts, procurement rules and legal environment.
• Fluent English with excellent writing and negotiation skills.
• Experience managing large‑scale projects (budget USD 450‑500 million) and handling multiple contracts and purchase orders.
