Contracts Officer – Procurement & Supplier Management

About the role

The Contracts Officer will oversee the full lifecycle of contracts and procurement activities, ensuring alignment with organisational policies and timely delivery of quality services. This role is responsible for planning, executing and finalising procurement strategies, leading RFP processes and managing supplier performance throughout mobilisation and implementation.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute procurement strategies across the organisation.
• Lead RFP preparation, consolidating scope inputs from end‑users and managing the bid process.
• Conduct negotiations, evaluate bids, and prepare contract documents for approval in line with the Delegation of Authority.
• Coordinate with the Legal Department on contract amendments and standard terms.
• Monitor supplier mobilisation, implementation, KPI tracking and performance evaluations.
• Create strategic solutions for specific categories through procurement planning and savings reporting.
• Maintain the bid calendar, lead category events and ensure transparent commercial evaluations.
• Negotiate contract terms, pricing and payment schedules under supervision of the Contract Manager.
• Track and report savings to meet commercial and business objectives.

Required profile

• Proven experience in contracts administration and procurement processes.
• Strong knowledge of RFP preparation, bid analysis and supplier negotiations.
• Ability to work closely with internal stakeholders, legal teams and governance bodies.
• Familiarity with delegation of authority, procurement policies and contract approval workflows.
• Experience in managing supplier performance, KPIs and continuous improvement initiatives.
