Control Tower Specialist

About the role

As CargoX expands its autonomous delivery fleet across the UAE, the Control Tower Specialist will run the Operations Centre that monitors live deliveries. You will be the eyes and ears of the fleet, handling exceptions that the autonomous vehicles cannot resolve on their own.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor the autonomous fleet and live delivery activity across all active zones, spotting developing problems before they trigger alerts.
• Provide 24/7 operational coverage as part of a shift‑based team.
• Coordinate dispatch activity and protect delivery continuity across zones.
• Track delivery status, vehicle movement, route progress, exceptions and operational alerts.
• Assess and resolve operational exceptions, deciding on rerouting, on‑ground support or escalation.
• Log incidents accurately and escalate to the relevant operations, field or technical teams.
• Dispatch runners and field technicians when on‑ground support is required, giving them context before they act.
• Maintain clear communication with field teams, supervisors and internal stakeholders.
• Prepare shift handovers, daily updates, incident logs and performance reports.
• Identify recurring issues and feed findings back to improve SOPs, routing and product.
• Ensure all operational activity is recorded in line with CargoX standards.

Required profile

• 2+ years experience in live operations or customer support (e.g., ride‑hailing, mobility, logistics, dispatch).
• Comfortable working rotating shifts, including nights, weekends and public holidays.
• Calm under pressure and able to make practical real‑time decisions.
• Detail‑oriented when tracking incidents, updates and delivery status.
• Clear written and verbal communicator able to coordinate across control room, field and internal teams.
• Proficient with dashboards, tracking tools, reporting templates and operational systems.
• Reliable, organized and disciplined with SOPs and escalation protocols.
• Fluent in English; additional languages such as Arabic are a practical advantage.
• Motivated by working at the front edge of autonomous delivery, mobility and last‑mile logistics in the UAE.
• UAE driving licence.
