Controller of Operations – Finance & Planning

About the role

The Controller of Operations is a senior analyst within the Productivity team of the Operations Steering and Transformation division. The role oversees and optimizes financial management processes for the Health and Life line of business worldwide, providing strategic planning, budgeting and analysis to support decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive financial plans and budgets aligned with organisational targets.
• Establish and maintain robust financial controls to safeguard assets and ensure policy compliance.
• Conduct in‑depth financial analyses, monitor performance against budgets, and recommend corrective actions.
• Prepare accurate and timely financial reports for management and regulatory bodies.
• Produce financial forecasts and projections to aid proactive resource allocation.
• Collaborate with Operations and non‑Operations departments to align financial strategies and support cross‑functional initiatives.
• Identify financial risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Drive continuous process improvements in financial procedures and systems.
• Coordinate external audits and ensure compliance with group standards.
• Utilise AI, machine learning, data analytics and cloud‑based tools while adhering to data governance and security standards.

• Full professional proficiency in English; additional language proficiency is a plus.
• Experience with SAP or similar financial software and large matrix organisations is preferred.
