Cost Control Supervisor

About the role

The Cost Control Supervisor is responsible for managing inventory, pricing, and cost analysis for the food & beverage and retail operations at JW Marriott Dubai. This role ensures accurate inventory records, supports pricing decisions, and helps the operations team understand the financial impact of merchandising activities.

Key responsibilities

• Perform physical inventories for food, beverage, and retail areas as required.
• Analyze product mix, margins, and guest preferences to inform revenue‑impact decisions.
• Enter prices, menu changes, and user updates in the point‑of‑sale (POS) system.
• Record receipt of all food, beverage, and non‑food products in the inventory and purchasing system.
• Investigate measurement unit issues and notable price variances.
• Update inventory requisitions and assist in calculating cost‑of‑sale ratios.
• Maintain master cost files, receipts, and conduct random checks to verify proper storage and security of products.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• At least 3 years of related work experience in cost control, inventory, or similar functions.
• No supervisory experience required.
• No specific license or certification required.
