Cost Manager - Post Contract

About the role

Turner & Townsend is looking for a detail-oriented Cost Manager - Post Contract to join its organisation in Dubai. The role supports the Commission Manager by taking responsibility for allocated post-contract cost management tasks, serving clients well and meeting their objectives through effective cost management in the post-contract stage.

Key responsibilities

• Handle interim applications, change management, variation valuations and extension of time claims while administering contract procedures under standard form contracts, particularly FIDIC.
• Administer post-contract services with detailed financial analysis and contractual justification, in line with FIDIC and standard form contracts.
• Monitor post-contract costs by analysing actual expenditure, commitments and forecasted costs against approved budgets, and validate contractor invoices and change orders.
• Produce accurate, timely cost reports, forecasts and financial information, and reconcile contract terms, invoices and accounting records.
• Communicate complex financial information with clients, contractors and other consultants and identify and mitigate cost-related risks.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
• Minimum 4 years of professional experience in cost management and post-contract administration in construction and engineering.
• Proven experience in the UAE construction industry.
• Strong organisational and time management skills, attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.

Required skills

• Contract administration and FIDIC standard form contracts.
• Cost analysis, budget forecasting and cost control.
• Ability to present financial information clearly and prepare detailed cost reports and variance analyses.
