Country Head - UAE

About the role

The Country Head for the United Arab Emirates will own the full market entry and growth of a high‑growth fintech focused on digital lending, micro‑finance and B2C financial services. Reporting directly to the Group CEO, the role carries complete P&L responsibility, regulatory oversight and the mandate to build the UAE operation from the ground up.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the UAE market entry and expansion strategy.
• Establish partnerships with banks, fintechs, payment providers, regulators, retailers and e‑commerce players.
• Drive revenue growth, portfolio expansion and new distribution channels.
• Identify new customer segments, product opportunities and go‑to‑market approaches.
• Lead the deployment of digital lending and micro‑finance initiatives.
• Oversee B2C credit models, lending performance and lifecycle management.
• Build and lead a high‑performing UAE team across commercial and operational functions.
• Ensure compliance with UAE financial authorities and implement governance, risk and compliance frameworks.
• Own country‑level P&L, budgeting and financial targets.
• Represent the company externally as the face of the business in the UAE.

Required profile

• 10–15+ years of experience in fintech, digital lending, BNPL or related financial services.
• Proven track record of launching or scaling businesses in the UAE or wider GCC.
• Strong background in business development, partnerships and marketing leadership.
• Direct experience working with regulators and financial authorities.
• Demonstrated success owning P&L and delivering revenue growth.
• Experience building high‑performing teams in fast‑paced environments.
• Robust governance and stakeholder management capabilities.
• Established credibility and network within the UAE market.
