Crane Operator

About the role

Al Sahraa Group is seeking a skilled Crane Operator to join its construction team in Abu Dhabi. You will be responsible for safely operating a variety of cranes on site, ensuring that all lifts are performed according to strict safety standards and project requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Operate mobile, tower and overhead cranes as required by the job.
• Perform pre‑operational checks and follow all safety protocols before and during lifts.
• Inspect and maintain crane equipment, reporting any defects.
• Read load charts, blueprints and technical documents to select appropriate rigging techniques.
• Communicate with team members and follow supervisor instructions.
• Rig and secure loads using slings, chains and other equipment.
• Control crane movements to lift, move and position heavy materials.
• Monitor weather conditions and adjust operations for safety.
• Keep accurate daily records of equipment usage, maintenance and incidents.
• Adhere to company policies, local and federal regulations at all times.

Required profile

• Minimum of 1 month experience operating cranes.
• No formal qualifications required.
• Ability to read and interpret load charts and technical drawings.
• Strong awareness of safety procedures and regulations.
