Crane Operator – Mobile Crane Specialist

About the role

Safely and efficiently operate mobile cranes to lift, move, and position heavy objects, equipment, and materials according to project requirements. The position includes setting up cranes on‑site, performing pre‑operational inspections and ensuring compliance with all safety regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct pre‑operational inspections and maintenance checks to ensure optimal crane condition.
• Set up the crane on job sites, securing stability with outriggers, cribbing and proper rigging.
• Interpret and follow lifting plans and signals from signalpersons or riggers.
• Assess load weights, determine load capacities and make necessary adjustments.
• Communicate with team members to coordinate safe lifting operations.
• Monitor crane controls during operation to ensure proper function.
• Maintain accurate records of crane usage, maintenance and inspections.

Required profile

• Strong focus on safety and adherence to industry standards and company policies.
• Effective communication with signalpersons, riggers and supervisors.
• Ability to keep detailed records and report issues promptly.
