Credit Analyst / Manager – SME Lending

About the role

A fast-growing fintech financial services platform serving small and medium-sized enterprises across the UAE is looking for a Credit Analyst/Manager in Abu Dhabi. You will shape the credit strategy of its lending platform by assessing SME credit applications, conducting financial and cash flow analysis and developing credit recommendations for working capital and receivables-backed financing.

Key responsibilities

• Assess SME credit applications, evaluating financial performance, cash flows, receivables and existing debt obligations.
• Prepare credit proposals, risk assessments and lending recommendations, and structure financing solutions for working capital needs.
• Evaluate invoice financing, receivables financing and other SME lending opportunities.
• Monitor existing credit exposures, identify early warning indicators and recommend risk mitigation measures.
• Support portfolio reviews, facility renewals and amendments, and new client assessments.
• Contribute to credit policies, underwriting standards and risk frameworks, and suggest improvements through technology and automation.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, business or a related field.
• 5-8 years of experience in credit analysis, underwriting or lending.
• Experience in SME banking, business banking, commercial banking or SME lending.
• Proven experience preparing credit proposals and making lending recommendations.
• Strong commercial judgement and comfort in a fast-paced environment; UAE market experience preferred.

Required skills

• Financial statement analysis, cash flow assessment and repayment capacity evaluation.
• Working capital facilities, invoice financing or receivables financing exposure is advantageous.

• Salary of AED12,000 - AED20,000 per month (AED144,000 - AED240,000 per year).
