Credit Underwriter – Mortgage Lending (Dubai)

About the role

The Lending Tree is seeking a Credit Underwriter to evaluate mortgage applications in Dubai. You will assess borrowers’ financial profiles, calculate key ratios such as Debt Burden Ratio (DBR) and Loan‑to‑Value (LTV), and ensure each file complies with UAE banking regulations. This position works closely with mortgage consultants and bank representatives to deliver timely decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Review customers’ bank statements, salary certificates and AECB credit reports to determine mortgage eligibility.
• Calculate DBR, LTV and other eligibility parameters for each application.
• Identify potential credit risks and discrepancies in mortgage files.
• Coordinate with mortgage consultants and bank representatives to facilitate smooth processing.
• Prepare detailed underwriting reports and maintain accurate records.
• Stay updated on changes to UAE mortgage regulations and lending policies.

Required profile

• Prior experience in UAE mortgage credit underwriting or credit analysis.
• Strong understanding of UAE mortgage lending policies and eligibility criteria.
• Experience working with UAE banks, mortgage brokerages or financial institutions.
• Detail‑oriented with strong analytical and communication skills.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines while maintaining accuracy.
