Critical Environment Program Manager

About the role

Microsoft's Cloud Operations & Innovation team is looking for a Critical Environment Program Manager to ensure the reliability, safety and efficiency of our leased datacenters supporting services such as Azure, Office 365 and Xbox.

Key responsibilities

• Ensures compliance with data‑center policies and manages programs related to critical environment (CE) operations.
• Maximises CE availability, oversees mechanical/electrical equipment maintenance, and drives cost‑energy efficiency initiatives.
• Coordinates emergency preparedness and response plans, conducts audits, and reports safety/security issues.
• Collaborates with engineering groups, landlord partners and global peers to share best practices and monitor SLA metrics.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or equivalent with at least 2 years of experience in a datacenter or critical‑environment facility.
• Ability to pass Microsoft Cloud background checks and security screenings.
