CSR/Vessel Lead

About the role

The CSR/Vessel Lead will act as the focal point for the project, representing the Project Management Team on all contractual matters during offshore installation campaigns. Reporting to the Project Team Leader in Abu Dhabi, the role involves daily communication with contractors, TPA, and operations personnel.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor contractor work on offshore construction vessels and barges, holding daily progress meetings and documenting minutes.
• Review and manage extra work, change orders, and variations, ensuring approvals are obtained from the Project Team Leader.
• Produce daily progress reports, safety briefings, incident reports, and a final close‑out report with lessons learned.
• Ensure compliance with approved construction procedures, HSE, QA standards, and international safety codes such as SOLAS/MODU.

Required profile

• B.Sc. (Honours) in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 15 years of offshore oil & gas experience, including at least 10 years on installation of jackets, decks, pipelines, cables, and related pre‑commissioning/commissioning activities.
• Fluent English and strong knowledge of offshore construction practices, marine safety regulations, and client HSE policies.

Required skills

• Offshore construction vessel and barge operations (self‑elevating, derrick/lay barges).
• Jacket and deck installation, pipe‑laying, cable laying, riser installation.
• Marine navigation, positioning systems, anchor handling, and survey techniques.
• Welding, coating, A/QC procedures, and HSE compliance.
• Familiarity with SOLAS, MODU, and other international safety codes.
