Customer Engineer – Technical Advisor (Dubai)

About the role

The Customer Engineer (CE) is the core driver of Cloudflare’s technical go‑to‑market strategy, acting as a trusted advisor throughout the entire customer journey. Based in Dubai, you will guide enterprise clients from pre‑sales validation through onboarding, deployment and ongoing expansion while leveraging AI‑augmented workflows.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with Account Executives to lead technical deep‑dives, capture business requirements and design fit‑for‑purpose Cloudflare architectures covering DNS, CDN, Zero Trust, network security and Workers.
• Define success criteria, create Proof‑of‑Concept plans, deliver technical presentations, architectural diagrams and demos that address performance, security and reliability challenges.
• Oversee technical onboarding and migration blueprints (e.g., DNS migrations, Zero Trust rollouts, WAF tuning) and act as the primary engineering contact for customers.
• Own a variable quota tied to new business acquisition and account growth, driving platform adoption, cross‑sell and up‑sell opportunities.
• Leverage AI agents and Large Language Models to automate routine tasks such as RFP responses, sandbox provisioning and telemetry monitoring.

Required profile

• Fluency in English and Turkish (written and spoken).
• Experience in a customer‑facing technical role (e.g., Solutions Engineering, Technical Account Management) with a quota‑carrying or revenue‑aligned background.
• Strong consultative and advisory skills, able to translate complex technical concepts into business outcomes for engineers and C‑level executives.
• Architectural mindset with the ability to design and articulate enterprise network and security solutions.

Required skills

• Deep knowledge of DNS, CDN, Zero Trust, network security and Cloudflare Workers.
• Proficiency in Python, JavaScript, Bash, Lua or Go for scripting and API integration.
• Experience with RESTful and GraphQL APIs, SDKs, webhooks and developer tooling.
• Familiarity with infrastructure‑as‑code tools such as Terraform or Pulumi, CI/CD pipelines and observability platforms.
• Hands‑on experience with AI agents, prompt engineering and Large Language Models for workflow automation.
