Cyber Defense Lead

About the role

Help AG is looking for a Cyber Defense Lead who will manage workflow, shift handover, escalation and prioritization of cyber defense services and activities during an assigned shift. The role is the main technical and operational escalation point for shift analysts delivering services such as Managed Detection and Response, and is accountable to the Senior Director MSS Operations for meeting agreed SLAs and procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the cyber defense capability, optimizing people, process and systems.
• Support pre-sales, sales and business development of new and existing services.
• Work with internal peers and external stakeholders to deliver cyber defense services sustainably, and support the transition of customers and infrastructure into operations.
• Drive rapid detection, mitigation, containment and response to security incidents using platform integrations and tools.
• Create, optimize and document processes, procedures and workflows, and track and report SLAs, KPIs and OLAs.
• Manage incidents, problems, issues, risks and compliance activities, and stay on call 24x7 for critical or urgent matters.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Electrical Engineering or a closely related field.
• At least 8 years of hands-on SOC experience, including incident detection, response, threat hunting, team leadership and use of SIEM, SOAR and EDR tools.
• Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA (or equivalent experience), and ITIL accreditation (or relevant experience).
• Ability to lead and motivate security professionals, communicate clearly and influence pre-sales and sales teams.

Required skills

• Security controls operation, incident response, managed services, threat intelligence, vulnerability management and threat hunting.
• Knowledge of SIEM, NGFW, CTI, WAF and other information security technologies.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
