Cybersecurity Engineer

About the role

The University Hospital Sharjah is seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer to design, implement and maintain robust security controls across its IT environment. You will protect networks, servers, endpoints and cloud platforms while ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Design, deploy and manage security solutions for networks, systems, endpoints and cloud services.
• Monitor alerts, investigate incidents using SIEM tools and lead incident‑response activities.
• Perform vulnerability assessments, risk analysis and track remediation.
• Configure and manage firewalls, switches, routers, access points and NAC technologies.
• Support cloud security posture on AWS and Azure, including IAM, MFA and PAM controls.
• Maintain Avaya Unified Communication systems and manage network hardware upgrades.
• Develop and update security policies, procedures and technical documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, IT or a related field.
• 3–7 years of hands‑on experience in security engineering or related roles.
• Professional certifications such as CEH, Security+, CISSP, CISM or cloud‑security credentials are a plus.
• Experience working in regulated environments, preferably healthcare.
