Data Center Logistics Technician

About the role

The Data Center Logistics Technician supports Microsoft’s Cloud Operations & Innovation team by managing inventory, handling deliveries, and ensuring secure movement of hardware within the Dubai data center. This role offers hands‑on experience with large‑scale data‑center operations and exposure to Microsoft’s cloud services.

Key responsibilities

• Perform cycle audits, receive and ship incoming/outgoing deliveries, and coordinate security escorts for third‑party vendors.
• Process warranty claims and manage Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) devices, adhering to service level agreements.
• Maintain accurate records in inventory management systems, track physical inventory, and reconcile discrepancies.
• Destroy data‑bearing devices in compliance with Microsoft policies and security standards.
• Escalate stock shortages, security or data‑management issues to management as needed.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or equivalent with experience in warehouse or supply‑chain environments, preferably within an IT setting.
• Ability to work shift schedules that may include evenings, nights, weekends or holidays.
• Pass Microsoft Cloud background check and meet any additional security screening requirements.
