Data Entry Operator – Engineering

About the role

Prestige Engineering L.L.C. is seeking a Data Entry Operator – Engineering to accurately interpret engineering drawings, material specifications and project documents, and enter the data into the company ERP system.

Key responsibilities

• Review and understand engineering drawings for pressure vessels, skids, packaged equipment, structural fabrication, tanks and related equipment.
• Read fabrication, general arrangement and detail drawings, bills of material and material lists to extract grades, sizes, thicknesses and quantities.
• Enter engineering and material details precisely into the ERP system and create or maintain item and material codes.
• Verify entered information against approved drawings and specifications, and update records when revisions occur.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Projects, Production, Procurement and QA/QC to clarify technical information.
• Assist in preparing material requirement data and ensure confidentiality of project information.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology or a related field (preferred).
• Previous experience in engineering data entry, mechanical drafting, technical documentation, production planning or ERP data entry.

Required skills

• Interpretation of engineering and fabrication drawings (pressure vessels, skids, structural).
• Knowledge of material specifications (carbon steel, stainless steel, alloys) and BOM handling.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
• Experience with ERP systems (preferred).
