Data Governance Lead

About the role

Take ownership of the firm’s data governance and data quality framework, ensuring data is trusted, secure, and fit for business, regulatory, and AI-driven use cases. You will work closely with business leaders to embed data ownership and drive continuous improvements across the enterprise data landscape.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the governance, classification, stewardship, and management of enterprise data assets.
• Develop and maintain data catalogues, metadata, lineage, and business data definitions to improve transparency and control.
• Establish and oversee data quality standards, monitoring frameworks, issue management processes, and remediation activities.
• Partner with Technology, Compliance, and Information Security teams to ensure effective data protection, access governance, and regulatory compliance.
• Drive the adoption of automation and AI‑enabled solutions to enhance governance processes and scale data management capabilities.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline.
• 10+ years of experience in data governance within the financial services industry.
• Proven success implementing and operating enterprise‑wide data governance and quality frameworks.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with data governance platforms such as Microsoft Purview, Collibra, Alation or Atlan.
• Strong understanding of cloud data platforms, metadata management, data lineage and access controls.
• Knowledge of data governance considerations related to AI.
